Contact us

All help and support for Freesites is handled through our integrated support forum — just log in to your account and find the link under the help menu.

If you have any questions prior to signing up, and you can't find the answer here, then please log in to the demo and use the forum from there.

Common reasons we're contacted, and answers so you don't have to:

  • If you have lost your password, click here

  • If your site says "This website is coming soon, please check back later."
then change the "Site coming soon" setting to "no" in your My website > Site settings page in your website admin area.

  • If there is a "This website is temporarily inaccessible, and to contact Freesites" message on your website:
    • The site is suspended due to credit card payment failure.
    • Your site still exists, it is just hidden until you login and update your payment details.
    • An email was automatically sent to you when it failed, on the 1st, 3rd and 6th of the month. If you didn't get the email, then it was picked up by your anti-spam system opr it went to your junk mail folder.
    • Calling us will not make your credit card payment approve.
    • If you want your site unsuspended ASAP, then please login to your account fix the issue with your card and it will be unsuspended the next time we attempt to debit your card.
    • Attempts to debit your card are tried every day after it fails from the 1st of the month.
    • You can log in to your site admin area, and change your card details in the account settings page.
    • NOTE: accounts unpaid for 90 days will be deleted from the system. This means your site and email addresses if you have any set up will be permanently removed and unrecoverable.

  • Need to update your credit card details?
You can do this securely via your account settings page when you log in to manage your website. You'll find the link in the first box of options, called "account information".

  • Need to close your account and delete your website?
You can do that using the "REMOVE ACCOUNT" link from within your website admin area.
Removing youir account means we stop hosting your website files and we stop charging you for hosting your website files.
    - Note: Just because your domain expires, or you move your site to a new host doesn't mean we know and therefore stop hosting your website files - we have no idea if you transfer your site elsewhere or if your domain expires, or if you close your business. You NEED to login and close your own account, we cannot do it from a phone call or an email, as they could be from anyone.
I find the staff at Freesites quick to respond to any problems. Very helpful when you are unsure on how to do it yourself. I have been with them for many years now and wouldn't think of going elsewhere - Great Customer Service, Good Value for money, Stylish Websites, Easy to Manage Sites.
